My First Video Blog. It’s No.1 of 50 on Community.
I was talking with a friend today who was telling me how much fun he’s having doing video blogging. I felt excited about the idea and thought I would give it a try. Since my passions are community, clarity and creativity I thought I’d pick the first “c” and give it a whirl. (The second two “c’s” ultimately build community anyways, so I can include them in the fun!)
Again, this is my FIRST try. The lighting is no good AND I discovered you have to write backwards (or something) when you’re filming. You’ll see what I mean when you run the clip.
Click on the “community” category for more of my thoughts / past initiatives on the topic. You can also search by the “community” tag or by typing community in search box to the top right of the screen.
If you want to follow the whole series you can follow me on Twitter (to the right of this screen there should be a “follow me” thingee for twitter. OR you can click RSS on the top right of the screen. OR you can “friend” me on facebook.
Cool.

Dude I love it! What is wrong with your camera filming everything backwards?
Community… yes. Great topic. I gave you a shout out in one I recorded today. So I will let you know.
Community starts with understanding how valuable Life is! When we value Life we can start community wouldn’t you say?
Great lunch today. Peace out.
Yeah, we have to value others AND even OUR OWN life to build community. When we think we are worthless we won’t build community. When we think others are worthless no one will want to build community with us!
I’m thinking there is a setting on the camera that is making it act like a mirror, but that’s a guess on my part. An alternative would be to film in front of a mirror, but I’m not sure how easily that would work.
If I may inquire, what do you mean by community? While I could look up a dictionary definition or two, what I’m wanting is what are the key components from your view to making a community. For example, do you, Ed and I form a community as the commentators here, or is there more to it? To my mind any group of people can be a community as long as there is something that ties the group together, but then my view may be different from yours.
