There is a book that really affected me called &quot;Abraham is our Father&quot; or something like.  (It affected me so powerfully that I can&#039;t remember it&#039;s title!).
It discusses our Judeao-Christian heritage.

One of the points it makes is that our thought patterns are based on the Greek (Aristotelian) logic, where a thought is based on the previous one, and everything is supposed to interlock.

But the Old Testament Hebrews didn’t have the benefit of Aristotle and the boys.   They didn’t need to always see a connection, and happily kept seemingly contradictory ideas separately ‘boxed’ in their brain.
This makes good (Aristotelian) sense to me as it explains a number of the things you read about in the Old Testament.

I sometimes wonder if women are still blessed with this ability!</description>
