Party in the Park UPDATE! A Big Success…

Friends and neighbors descended on the field throughout the day as our incredibly talented line up of artists proved, once again, that Calgary has amazing artists.
Friends of Otis delivered an incredible performance that went hand in hand with the soothing and "Just right" summer evening.
The artist line up was really amazing and each artist showed up to deliver a great show to their fans and the neighborhood.
Alderman Joe Connelly was even seen chatting with Steve early on in the show.
The day started on a great note with Music Centre Canada's latest graduates of their rock school. One ambitious band even did a cover of RUSH's YYZ (A highly ambitious undertaking to be sure.)
Not to be outdone Steve and Shannon busted out an hour of what Steve likes to call "Kiddo Music" featuring such songs as the "bannana song" and "peanut butter and jam."
Amy Bishop came seemingly out of nowhere to deliver a performance that demanded an encore. Her powerful voice and catchy tunes had the crowd swaying in their lawn chairs. Amy's agent / manager Nancy, who runs a singer / songwriter group at the Ironwood, also delivered the goods.
Of course, BTTV favorites like Joal Kamps, Shannon Robinson, Reuben and Sarah Vann dug deep into their bag of tricks to keep the audience begging for more.
Who knows if we'll run a show next year. The talent at this one might make it too hard to beat!
