Why better than TV?
BTTV is part of a rapidly developing underground movement to get people out of the couch and in to the venues that support local musicians.
It is designed to unearth opportunities for musicians to put their best foot forward for a great crowd.
Musicians and songwriters don’t like playing in bars for a bunch of drunk people who want to hear all of their favorite 70’s rock tunes, again… , and again… etc. It turns out that said creative people want to share their ideas with people that are actually listening.
BTTV is an environment where music, musician, and audience can all come together
The theme of BTTV is “Change the room, change the world.” If we can change a small room with art, maybe we can change the world!
BUT "room' always preceeds 'world.' I really believe before an artist can change the world they need to change the lives of the people who see them on a smaller stage. Our hope is that everyone who comes to a BTTV or BTTV-X show will be changed, for the better, because of the art they are exposed to!
Why the name BTTV?
Well, quite simply, coming to this show will be better than, um, watching TV. I mean, A LOT.
